Alfonsi, Petrus (Sephardi, Moses)

(1062-1110)
   Spanish writer and translator. He converted to Christianity and wrote a polemic against Judaism in the form of a dialogue. His collection of pious anecdotes for preachers, Training for the Clergy, introduced oriental tales to European readers.
